What a house price index is

Nominal house price series at 2015=100. The build selects a current OECD or Eurostat history; the current UK House Price Index takes precedence for the United Kingdom, and rebased ABS mean dwelling prices are a conditional Australian fallback. Each economy names its actual source. Rankings use its latest published quarter.
