European headline indexes are republished from Eurostat dataset PRC_HPI_Q where that series is still current. Reuse of Eurostat statistical data is authorised for commercial and non-commercial purposes provided the source is acknowledged.
The United Kingdom desk uses the UK House Price Index (HM Land Registry, ONS, Registers of Scotland and Land & Property Services), published under the Open Government Licence. Quarterly averages are rebased by Younivi to 2015=100 so the chart sits on the same scale as Eurostat I15_Q.
Australia uses ABS Total Value of Dwellings mean residential dwelling prices (Creative Commons Attribution 4.0), rebased by Younivi to 2015=100. That is a mean price, not a quality-adjusted HPI.
Other economies, and the real-price and price-to-income pages, use OECD Analytical House Prices. OECD permits excerpts from its databases on websites with acknowledgement of OECD as source and copyright owner.
Year-over-year percentages on this site are derived by Younivi from the published index four quarters earlier. They are not official agency series.
If a source file cannot be downloaded, that economy is omitted. We do not invent a history to fill the gap.
No warranty
We take care to read the files as published, but we give no warranty that the pages are complete, current, or free of transcription or plotting error. Official institutions revise tables. A rebuild can change a past printed value because the source changed.
Delay
This is not a live feed. House-price indexes move on the official release calendar and when this site is rebuilt.
